The Specific Problem With the Chair
Almost every bedroom has one: the chair, the end of the bed, or the corner of the room where clothes land when they are not dirty enough to wash but not clean enough to go back in the wardrobe. This is one of the most consistent and most tolerated sources of visual noise in bedrooms, and it operates in a specific way that makes it harder to address than ordinary clutter.
